Built by a Marine, for veterans.
Veteran Benefits Guide is a 10-year-old organization dedicated to assisting veterans through the VA disability claims process. We've helped more than 55,000 veterans receive the disability benefits they deserve.
From a garage to 55,000 veterans served.
Josh Smith, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, founded VBG in 2015 from his garage. While working as a VA rater, Smith identified systemic flaws in the disability evaluation process and developed a more efficient approach to help veterans obtain their benefits.
That approach - quality medical exams, accurate claims, and a one-time fee paid only after a veteran wins an increase - became the foundation of what VBG is today.
Ten years later, VBG operates nationally with a team of more than 225 people. The leadership is a mix of veterans and former VA personnel. The model has stayed the same.
Guide veterans to the rating they earned.
We guide veterans through the disability claims process to receive accurate ratings and the full financial benefit value associated with their service.
Enrich the lives we serve.
VBG seeks to enrich the quality of life for America's military veterans, while encouraging others to do the same. We operate through heartfelt passion, integrity, and experience.
